Original Parishioneers
SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church
Eaton, WI
1881-1981
Jubilee Book
page 4

In 1880, the Polish immigrants of Eaton decided to build their own church on what is today the northeast corner of US Hwy. 29 and County Trunk T. The following is a list of the surnames of the original parishioneers. The names were written in the jubilee book as they were recorded on the original records. Some other facts of interest include the following: The first marriage, that of Valentine Wypiszynski and Agnes Roznowski, was held on 5 Nov 1883. The first baptism, that of Sigmund Kietuzewski, was held on 28 Oct 1883. The first recorded death was that of Adam Rzepka in Nov 1883.
This page was made possible through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Deterville, who sent me a copy of the SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church Jubilee Book, to Mrs. Gloria Klarkowski who cared enough to pass on my letter, and to Debby who suggested I write to Mrs. Klarkowski at the start. Many thanks!
