According to Meyers Gazetteer...
| Suchary, noble's estate of 215 residents, Kreis Wirsitz, Posen.
Civil reg. office was in Nakel.
It had its own dairy and brickworks.
Suchary was about 2-3 villages NE of Nakel, it appears to have been a
good-sized estate. It was a "whistle-stop" also on the RR that ran from
Nakel to Crone a/d Brahe. The brickworks was a little east of the estate.
This was commonly done for safety reasons.

| The city received city rights in the 13th century and the oldest seal of the
city is known from the 14th century. The seal already shows a city gate, a
typical symbol for a city at the time. The second seal shows also a gate,
but with a knight, holding a sword. The knight probably indicates
watchfulness. All later seals until the late 19th century show the same
composition. The composition was granted as arms in the early 20th century.
I have no information on the present arms of the city.
